Calling all STF Campus Chapters! 📢

This March, chapters from across the world will unite to raise funds for our Partner Coalition of education and mentorship programs for girls. The chapter that raises the most funds will be awarded The Future is Ours Champion title for 2024!

We know when girls support girls, magic happens. The Future is Ours Challenge is about girls stepping up to build a future where all girls have the freedom and support to chase their dreams. ✨

Why are we fundraising?

All girls deserve to choose their own future.

Yet too often, girls are denied an education, told who and when to marry, and blocked from leadership. Educated and respected girls are the exception, not the norm.

But, when a girl is educated, respected, and heard, the future is hers.  She's the First improves vulnerable girls’ graduation and retention rates by funding their access to school and mentorship programs.

This March, we’re excited to have STF Campus join us! 

How to fundraise:

When fundraising, there are a few things to remember 🤔

• Be girl-centered and anti-oppressive. 

  • DO share the importance of centering girls’ rights and safety.

  • DO share the power of letting girls & women lead the way in advocating for themselves.

  • DO share why you support STF, our Partner Coalition, and STF Campus.

  • DO share why you are an ally to girls.

  • DO use language and images that empower & celebrate girls. (Hint: you can use our messaging above under “Why Are We Fundraising?,” any copy on our Partner Coalition page, and images from The Future is Ours Content Toolkit!)

• The sky is the limit! ✈️

  Classic bake sales, retro-themed parties, crowdfunding or bitcoin donations - fundraise whichever way works best for you and your chapter. Check out STF Campus Community Fundraiser Ideas for inspiration! Need more inspiration or support? Email campus@shesthefirst.org.

• Remember to say thanks!

  Donors love to be thanked, and it helps them think about STF the next time they have the chance to donate. They may even donate to your chapter again NEXT year, during our 2025 The Future is Ours Challenge. You can thank via text, Instagram story, or even through an enthusiastically-timed fist bump 🙌

Collect donations and submit them to STF via your one-of-a-kind fundraising webpage. (We create these for you when you register to participate). If you fundraise via Instagram fundraiser, you’ll have the opportunity to send us your fundraiser link and amount at the end of the Challenge.  👍 

Campus Challenge Rules:

1. Always girl-centered and anti-oppressive.

2. Register to be eligible to win Champion status 🥇

3. Complete the post-challenge survey to submit your total raised and feedback for us to use for next year’s challenge.

The Future is Ours Champion:

The STF Campus Chapter that raises the most money through March 31, 2024 will win the title of The Future is Ours Champion! The winning chapter will win 25 limited edition The Future is Ours 2024 Champion shirts—and possession of the championship trophy for the next year!
