8th Annual Conference for Girl-Centered Programs

Thank you for your interest in attending the Girls First Summit 2024! This year's Summit, held in-person on Friday, July 5th, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM EAT in Nairobi, Kenya, will focus on designing stronger programs for girls. We aim to provide targeted training to 40 organizations working with girls in Kenya. With limited spots available, we will prioritize members of the Girls First Network during registration.
If you are from a small- to medium-sized organization, work with vulnerable girls in your community, and want to design programs that build girls’ power, you belong here!
Girls deserve to be part of programs that are designed for real impact, not just with good intentions. That’s why professional development matters.
In underresourced communities, programs for girls are usually run by women with big vision and valuable lived experience, doing a lot with little resources. These women deserve to have more funding and formal training, so their programs can soar and reach even more girls. That’s where we come in!
Each year, we train based on themes and topics the participants have voted on. Girl-serving professionals leave with practical tools and strategies to increase girls’ agency — and an amazing network of peers and potential funders!
Girls from accepted organizations will be participating in parallel sessions! This is an opportunity for women to learn and grow beside the girls they serve.
Participants are eligible for certification, upon completing the three-month check-in evaluation.
Since 2016, the Girls First Summit has trained over 500 women representing 300 organizations, who collectively reach 26,000+ girls.
Every organization shares a goal of increasing girls’ access to education, safety, and choice over their futures.
