Elvira Roquel, an alumna of MAIA (an STF partner in Guatemala since 2010), will share her inspiring journey as a first-generation graduate and speak to her power as a She’s the First Girls Advisory Council member.
Christine, 17, escaped Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) with the help of our partner Msichana Empowerment Kuria in Kenya when she was 11. You’ll learn about her brave decision to seek help and our community-based partner’s dedication to ensuring girls’ safety.
Meet girls from our Chapter program and Girl Activist Fellowship, who will give you a live demo of the campaigns they created to advance their rights. Two of them, Allison Choong and Sania Hammad, will be our gala emcees!
