“I feel so loved and protected here.”

Arlington Academy of Hope is one of She’s the First’s longest-standing partnerships. Located in Uganda, AAH supported 681 girls’ education and mentorship last year. With your help and She’s the First’s support, AAH is transforming a village that has long experienced poverty into a vibrant, self-sustaining community through its educational, healthcare, and vocational programs.

“There’s freedom for me at Arlington Academy of Hope—because we have access to the computer lab and the library, and we can approach anyone for help.”  says 17-year-old AAH student, Mercy.

While Mercy is a talented singer, she has a different dream for her future. “I dream of becoming a doctor so that I can save people and be independent.”

At AAH, Mercy’s dreams are nurtured. Her ambitions are resourced, and her curiosity is fed instead of silenced. She is respected, educated, and heard.
