The Annual Conference on Girls’ Rights
Nairobi, Kenya | March 28, 2020

Each year, practitioners join together to learn from one another and leading local experts on how to put girls first in our work. If you work with girls in any capacity, this is the conference for you.

In past years, attendees have experienced training in:

  • Girl-centered program design

  • Effective Mentorship

  • Child Protection Policies

  • Comprehensive Sexuality Education

  • and more

We work to prioritize those coming from small- to medium-sized organizations, particularly those who demonstrate a desire to continuously learn and improve in their work for and with girls. To support them, we keep the conference free of cost and invite participants to vote on themes and topics to be covered each year.

Girls First Summit is co-hosted by She’s the First, a global girls’ education and rights organization, and Akili Dada, a Nairobi-based feminist movement-building organization.

“This platform is helping all of us create a space for change in our communities.”
— 2019 Girls' First: East Africa attendee
